MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Bicycling proponents have a spin on the adage, “You never forget how to ride a bike.” Instead, they want children to never forget how to ride a bike safely.
The Edmonds Bicycle Advocacy Group, Cascade Bicycle Club and the Edmonds School District are joining forces to bring a bicycle education safety and skills training program to local schools.
Their goal is to offer a bicycle safety class next fall to 2,700 third- through fifth-graders at nine schools districtwide. Eventually, the program would expand to all third- through fifth-graders at the district’s 22 elementary and K-8 schools.
